The idea behind La Floración del Tajinaste was to develop a unique photo contest to spread and promote respect towards the environment and nature and to present the local Canarian flora in an original way. As in previous years, we will see its third edition come to life in our beloved island, Tenerife.
Organized by Hotel Spa Villalba, pioneer in the South of Tenerife in its sector; accompanied by Mario Rubio, one of the most prestigious night photographers world-wide and the Town Hall of Vilaflor, this influential contest stands out because of the following reasons:
It’s a contest suitable for all audiences, meaning that anyone and everyone over 18 can participate.
You can expect excellence and professionalism based on the contest’s mentor, Mario Rubio, who will be accompanied by an elite jury.
In this third edition, it aims to offer new and feasible proposals for the island of Tenerife, both at a tourist and socio-cultural level.
This unique project offers added value to the Canary Islands, presenting the islands from another point of view through an activity that is participative, fun and respectful of the environment, in particular of our endemic species. The aim is to learn to appreciate the tajinaste, and with it, learn to protect it and promote its conservation.
The richness and world uniqueness of the island’s flora is well documented, but in some cases unknown by the average tourist and local. This activity is an original way to promote a context of social participation.
The competition will have a national and international impact, as the winning photographs will be exhibited throughout different formats and media, both online and offline.
